This soap, like many others have stated is quite simply...outstanding. However, I can walk into the Kroger down the street right now and pay $2.99 a bar individually. Don't get me wrong, I love Amazon, but in this case for me, it's not the least expensive route. You might look in your local grocery store's organics section to see if these soaps are there and check the prices. You could be pleasantly surprised.

Well, this comes pretty close. Dr. Bronner's Organic Pure Castile Citrus Orange is, to the best of my recollection, the most recent addition to their line of bar (and liquid) soaps but I only recently got around to trying it. This seems to have replaced the lemon soap and although I tend not to be crazy about citrus-scented toiletries, we had a bout of very hot, sticky weather recently and I had a hunch that this would fit the bill.
I should mention that I'm no stranger to Dr. Bronner's soaps; they were brought to my attention by someone who knew Dr. Bronner and said that although he was something of a wack job, he made the world's best soap. In the 20+ years since, I have yet to find anything that's better. I keep small bottles of the liquid soap on my sinks for hand washing and I use Sal Suds for pretty much all of my cleanup needs but I prefer the bar soaps for bathing (my favorites are rose and peppermint). Dr. Bronner's produces a luxurious, satiny lather that's very kind to all skin types, including sensitive. This one is no more or less so than the others and it smells heavenly. However, it's not cheap; my suggestion for preserving the qualities of any better-than-supermarket soap is to keep it in a soap box between uses.
Dr. Bronner's, to the best of my knowledge, has yet to actually take out advertising (although they now have a Web site)--their publicity is strictly word of mouth. The company used to be a lot more fun in that they sold some very funky condiments but let's face it: nothing stays the same. In fact, the soaps themselves have undergone some changes as well--several good, at least one not so (after Dr. Bronner's death, jojoba oil was replaced entirely by hemp oil which produced, I thought, a lather that wasn't as nice; some jojoba has since been added back which much improved the lather). Regardless, it remains the best soap on the planet and this new scent is absolutely delightful. If you haven't tried a Dr. Bronner's bar soap, this is as good a place as any to start.

I have been using Dr. Bronners Castile soaps for years and have found the product to be an excellent soap for use in the shower.
It is not a harsh soap like most of the commercial soaps you would find in the supermarket.
I highly recommend this product.

Makes my skin very soft. Lathers enough, even in well water that is not softened. Lasts about average, and longer than moisturizing soaps, such as Caress and Dove.

Dr. Bronner's soaps are wonderful. I like that they're all natural products and fair trade. I especially appreciate using the bar soap in the winter - I tend to get very dry skin in the winter months, and Dr. Bronner's soaps don't dry my skin out like regular soaps. Plus the smells are great!
